Q: My Chromebook is charged, but it won't turn on.
A1: Check to see if the indicator light on the right side of your Chromebook is on. If it's on, and the color is white, watch the video at the bottom of this page titled, Chromebook Won't Turn On, and complete the steps listed in the video.
A2: If you allowed your Chromebook to drain to 0% battery, you may be experiencing a power failure. If this is the case, please follow the directions below.

Q: My screen is green. How do I fix it?
A: Restart your Chromebook. This usually fixes the problem.
Q: My camera is not displaying an image at all. How do I fix it?
A: The first step is to make sure the camera is working. Sometimes the problem is with Teams, but if you follow the directions on the website below, then you will be able to determine if the Chromebook is having a camera problem or if it's Teams. If you determine that your camera is working properly, but you still can't use the camera in Teams, then the problem is likely due to poor internet connection or low bandwidth, and unfortunately, there is nothing the school can do to solve the issue. We suggest you just keep trying to access the class, or find a location to work where you have better service.

Q: My microphone is not working. How do I fix it?
A: This could be a problem with Teams, which means there is nothing we can do to fix it. OR your microphone may have malfunctioned. To determine if your mic is working, please test your microphone at this website:

NOTE: If the Quality rating is less than 900, the microphone is probably not working correctly, and you will need a different Chromebook. Contact your media specialist.
Q: Why does Teams keep kicking me out of my class or not allowing me to join the meetings?
A: This is due to poor internet connection or low bandwidth. Unfortunately, there is nothing the school can do to solve this issue. We suggest you just keep trying to access the class, or find a location to work where you have better service.
