Remaining physically active is essential for good health. It is also essential to practice safety measures before, during, and after workouts. One important factor is light stretching before workouts to loosen up muscles and joints to help prevent strain and injury. Give these stretches a try. Remember to be gentle and keep moving:

1. Butterfly stretch
2. knee-to-chest lower back stretch
3. shoulder stretch
4. cobra abdominal stretch/old horse stretch
5. walking high kicks/soldier march 
6. inchworm/walk out
