Macon County Schools proudly welcomed its newest educators during New Employee Orientation, held at Macon County Middle School. New teachers and paraprofessionals gathered for a day of learning, collaboration, and community building as they begin their journey with MCSS.
Superintendent Dr. Johnathan Roberts greeted the group with words of encouragement and shared his vision for student success across the district. Principals Dr. George McElroy (Macon County Elementary School) and Mr. Jamal Harris (Macon County Middle and High School) also welcomed the new staff, offering insight into their schools’ missions and the critical role each team member plays in shaping student achievement.
Refreshments were generously provided by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE). Throughout the day, staff received essential training from the MCSS Technology and Curriculum departments to help ensure a smooth and successful start to the school year.
We are excited to have these dedicated professionals join the MCSS team and look forward to the impact they will make in our classrooms and community!
