Meet and Greet

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Macon County School System hosted a Meet and Greet for the community to welcome Dr. Johnathan B. Roberts, Jr., the new Superintendent of Schools. Held at Macon County High School, the event gave families, educators, and community leaders an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Roberts as he shared his vision, background, and plans for the district.

Dr. Roberts spoke passionately about his personal journey in education and his unwavering commitment to student achievement. He outlined his leadership priorities, emphasizing collaboration, equity, and academic excellence. As part of the event, Dr. Roberts presented two key frameworks that will guide his transition into leadership: the 100-Day Onboarding Plan and a Student Attendance and Achievement Strategy Overview. Both presentations offered insight into his approach to learning about the district, assessing its needs, and leading the way forward with clear and actionable goals.
