Mr. Harris and Miss Saldana

During the annual MCHS Homecoming Coronation on Thursday October 16, 2025, Macon County High School announced the 2025 Homecoming Court. The event culminated in the crowning of the school's first Hispanic Miss MCHS, Jazelin Saldaña. Miss Saldaña is the daughter of David Saldaña and the late Lori Saldaña of Oglethorpe, GA. She is a Senior of the Class of 2026 and a member of the NJROTC, Marching Band (clarinet), FBLA, Yearbook Committee, and she is the Captain of the Soccer team. Miss Saldaña gave a heartfelt speech accepting her title with humility and honoring her fellow contestants with words of kindness and congratulations.

When asked how she feels about being the first Hispanic Miss MCHS, Jazelin Saldaña stated, "I feel so wonderful and amazing! I'm honored to be able to represent my Hispanic community and my school. I'm glad to be able to show other young girls that they can step out of their comfort zone and do whatever they set their hearts to do." At Half-time for the Homecoming football game on Friday October 17, 2026, the entire MCHS Homecoming Court was presented, including Miss MCHS. Upon graduation, Jazelin Saldaña plans to attend college to become an ultrasound technician.
